Data & Statistics

As we look back on the past year, it's clear that Realtors® have not only continued their commitment to community service but have significantly increased their efforts. This year’s data reveals inspiring trends in both volunteerism and charitable contributions within the Realtor® community.

A remarkable 69% of Realtor® members dedicated their time to volunteer activities on a monthly basis. These members are not just signing up for one-off events; they're consistently giving back, averaging eight hours of volunteer work each month. This sustained commitment showcases the genuine dedication Realtors® have towards making a difference in their communities.

Fundraising efforts are equally commendable. A staggering 98% of associations, either led by association executives (AEs) or involving multiple listing services (MLS), organized fundraisers to support charitable causes. These are not just small, sporadic events—on average, four significant fundraising activities were hosted each year by these associations. Such efforts play a pivotal role in supporting various nonprofits and charities that rely on external contributions to thrive.

Financial donations have also seen an uptick. This year, the average annual donation made by all broker-owners increased to $2,400, up from $2,300 in 2022. It’s heartening to see this growth in financial generosity, even if it’s a modest rise. Additionally, those broker-owners who actively contribute maintained a steady donation rate, each contributing an average of $3,000 annually. This consistency in giving, despite the fluctuating economic landscape, highlights the resilient spirit of the Realtor® community.

These figures are more than just numbers—they are a testament to the character and values of Realtors® nationwide. As we move forward, it’s clear that Realtors® are not just focused on real estate; they are deeply invested in enriching their communities through both time and resources. This growing trend of giving back is not only admirable but essential, as it fosters stronger, more supportive environments where both individuals and businesses can flourish.
