Healthy buyer demand and constrained supply continue to be the story for much of the country. Nationally, showing activity in July remained substantially higher than a year before and multiple offer situations are a frequent experience in many markets. With the inventory of homes for sale still constrained, a competitive market for buyers shows little sign of waning.
- Single Family Closed Sales were down 1.5 percent to 2,811.
- Townhouse-Condo Closed Sales were down 13.1 percent to 535.
- Adult Communities Closed Sales were down 26.8 percent to 41.
- Single Family Median Sales Price increased 7.5 percent to $430,000.
- Townhouse-Condo Median Sales Price increased 0.8 percent to $282,000.
- Adult Communities Median Sales Price increased 6.5 percent to $368,000.

We are progressing with our plans to re-open our board locations. As of September 21, all of our locations will be open 9:00 am-3:00 pm Monday through Friday. Appointments will be required as will masks so that we can follow the CDC guidelines of social distancing for the safety of our members and staff. If you forget your mask, we will provide you with one.
We will continue to offer all of our services remotely (membership applications, transfers, Supra Keys, GSMLS, Board store products, etc.), so please call us first. Our continuing education classes, committee meetings, and other events will remain virtual for the remainder of this year.

Even with high unemployment weighing down the national economy, home sales are cooking. NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun dissects the latest homes sales numbers, talks about what could make the market even stronger, and forecasts what’s ahead in housing. Home sales in July were higher than last month and than a year ago, and mortgage rates are at record lows. However, tight inventory remains a hurdle.
