Richard Castronova, 69, of West Milford, passed away on Aug. 24, 2025.
Born June 12, 1956, in New York City to John and Grace (Fleming) Castronova, Richard moved to West Milford at age 5. He attended Our Lady Queen of Peace School, graduated from West Milford High School in 1974, and remained a devoted parish usher until his passing.
Richard and his wife, Marion (Laino) Castronova, raised their family in West Milford, where he helped run Mountain View Farms and Valley View Pub. He later worked as a rural mail carrier and custodian with the West Milford Board of Education.
He is survived by Marion; children Richard and Danielle; daughter-in-law Autumn; grandchildren McKenna, Giovanna, and Levi; and siblings Thomas, Susan, and Steven. He was predeceased by his son John, his brother John, and his parents.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Aug. 28, from 4–8 p.m. at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Rd., West Milford. A funeral Mass will follow Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Hewitt, with interment at Warwick Cemetery, N.Y.
