Starting August 17, 2024, real estate professionals may ask buyers to sign a written agreement before touring homes. However, you do not need a written agreement to attend open houses or inquire about an agent’s services. A written agreement is required only when you begin actively working with an agent, which means receiving services like property identification and tour arrangements. These agreements provide clarity on services and fees and are fully negotiable.

Why Does RPAC Matter to Me?
RPAC is the voice of Realtors® on a local, state and national level. It is the only political group in New Jersey and the nation organized for and run by Realtors® that exists solely to further issues important to Realtors®, private property owners and the real estate market.
